AU dominates in Peach Belt cross-country championships

The Augusta University men and women’s cross-country teams, led by Coach Adam Ward, turned in outstanding performances in their final competition of the 2020 season, the Peach Belt Conference Championship, hosted by the University of North Georgia in Gainesville, Ga., on Nov. 14. The men defended their PBC crown, and Mackenzie Taylor won the women’s championship and finished the season undefeated.

The Augusta University men’s cross-country team successfully defended its Peach Belt Conference championship Saturday, and AU’s Mackenzie Taylor claimed the women’s individual title at the University of North Georgia.

The Augusta University men’s cross-country team has been ranked the eighth best NCAA Division II team in The Stride Report’s “If Everything Was Normal” top-10 rankings.

The Augusta University men’s cross-country team finished ninth and junior Micah Weathers of the women’s team finished 44th at the NCAA Division II Championship in Sacramento, Calif., on Saturday, Nov. 23, rewriting the record book for the Jaguars.
