The Augusta University men’s basketball team received the No. 16 ranking in the latest National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II poll this week, moving up seven spots from their previous ranking of 23rd. Second-half comeback lifts AU over Lander in season opener

The Augusta University men’s basketball team successfully completed a comeback in the second half to defeat Lander University 87-72 on Wednesday night, Dec. 2, at Christenberry Fieldhouse in the season-opener for both teams. On Jan. 29, the Augusta University men’s basketball team defeated Peach Belt rival USC-Aiken on the road, 79-74, which would be the start to a winning streak for the Jaguars. On Wednesday, Feb. 26, at Christenberry Fieldhouse, AU obtained their ninth consecutive win after defeating Aiken again, this time by a score of 91-69.
